Re:Run
Overview of Re:Run
Re:Run is a first-person 3D action parkour game that mixes platforming, melee combat, and a rewind-based power-up system. Across 10 levels, you navigate floating platforms, avoid dangerous red surfaces, fight enemies, and collect upgrades that help you clear each arena. The catch is what happens when you grab one: power-ups rewind you back to the spawn point. Instead of treating that reset as simple punishment, Re:Run builds its challenge around remembering the level, planning a better route, and using your new advantage on the next attempt. The result feels part parkour course, part combat challenge, and part spatial puzzle.
Core Gameplay Mechanic
Re:Run revolves around a distinctive loop: navigate the arena → fight enemies → reach a power-up → rewind → use what you learned to make another run.
Navigate the Arena Without Touching Red
Each level takes place across elevated platforms and obstacles that demand careful first-person movement. The game explicitly warns you not to touch red surfaces or fall to the floor, so sprinting blindly through a stage is rarely the best approach.
Movement becomes especially important when a route combines narrow platforms, gaps, enemies, and hazardous areas. Learning where you can safely move is therefore part of learning the level itself.
Use Power-Ups, Then Re:Run the Level
The game's defining mechanic appears directly in its level instructions: “Powerups rewind you back to spawnpoint.” Reaching an upgrade therefore comes with an immediate trade-off. You gain additional power, but your position is reset and you have to move through the arena again.
That is where the title Re:Run starts to make sense. Your previous attempt gives you information about the route, hazards, and enemy positions, while the power-up gives you another advantage for the next pass. Progress comes from combining both.
Fight While Staying Mobile
Parkour is only one side of the challenge. Re:Run also includes first-person melee combat with separate inputs for hitting and blocking.
This creates situations where movement and combat overlap. You may need to reach an enemy safely, attack at close range, defend against incoming hits, and then continue navigating the level without falling into a hazardous area. Sprinting and crouching add further movement options for getting around the arenas.

Re:Run Parkour and Combat Tips
- Learn before rushing - Use your first attempt to identify platforms, hazards, and enemy positions.
- Watch the red areas - A faster route is useless if it sends you straight into a dangerous surface.
- Expect the rewind - Before taking a power-up, remember that you will return to the spawn point.
- Use sprint selectively - Extra speed helps on open sections, but controlled movement is safer around narrow platforms.
Play Re:Run, master the parkour, fight through each arena, and clear all 10 levels.
