Enemy intent remains visible, so battles are less about blind luck and more about reading the board, finding favorable matchups, and adapting your strategy. Core Gameplay Mechanic

Combat revolves around building an action chain and then watching it clash with the enemy's moves slot by slot. Each slot presents several possible actions, so the important decision is not simply which move looks strongest, but which one best counters the opponent.

Actions use dice ranges rather than fixed values. When two attacks collide, both sides roll and the higher result wins the clash; against Defense, the roll can reduce incoming damage instead. Strong rolls can also affect later actions, while damaging an enemy during a Buff can interrupt it. This makes reading the opponent's intentions and weighing risk versus reliability essential to surviving tougher encounters.
