Puppet Hockey is a 2D arcade sports game that turns ice hockey into quick, chaotic 1v1 matches. Choose a national team and take control of a big-headed puppet player who handles both attacking and defending. Chase the puck across the rink, jump to intercept it, swing your hockey stick to send it toward the goal, and quickly fall back when your opponent gains possession. Matches are short, so a single well-timed shot or defensive mistake can quickly change the score. With simple controls, cartoon-style players, and fast back-and-forth action, this sports game focuses on timing and positioning rather than realistic hockey simulation.
Core Gameplay Mechanic
Each match is a 1v1 hockey battle where you try to score more goals than your opponent before time runs out. Move left and right to follow the puck, jump when needed, and use your hockey stick to shoot toward the goal. You control both attack and defense. Push forward when you have a chance to score, then move back to block the puck when your opponent attacks. Since the rink is small, the puck can quickly rebound and change direction. When the timer reaches zero, the player with more goals wins. A tied match can continue into overtime, where the next goal decides the winner.
