Overview of SPLOOB

SPLOOB is a 2D physics puzzle game where you drop colorful cells into a laboratory beaker and connect matching colors to clear them. Each cell comes in a different shape and size, from round blobs to squares and triangles, making every placement behave differently as pieces collide and settle. Before a cell lands, you can steer it left or right and rotate it to squeeze into gaps or create a better position. The goal is to connect cells of the same color into a complete row that reaches both walls of the beaker, causing the entire matching group to pop. With falling-piece mechanics, physics-based movement, and increasingly crowded layouts, SPLOOB turns simple color matching into a clever spatial puzzle.

Core Gameplay Mechanic

SPLOOB combines falling-piece puzzles with physics and color matching. Instead of simply stacking identical blocks, you need to control where each irregular cell lands and use its shape to build connections across the beaker.

• Steer and Rotate Falling Cells: Each new cell drops from above, but you can guide it left or right and rotate it before it lands. Pay attention to its shape and angle, as a good rotation can help the piece fit into a narrow gap or settle into a more useful position.
• Connect Matching Colors: The main goal is to create a connected row of cells with the same color that reaches from one wall of the beaker to the other. Complete the connection and all cells in that matching row will pop, opening space for new pieces.
• Manage Shapes and Limited Space: Circles can roll into gaps, while squares and triangles settle differently depending on their angle and surrounding pieces. As more cells accumulate, finding useful spaces becomes harder. Check the Next queue and plan ahead to avoid filling the beaker with awkward placements.
