Farflung

Farflung: Think Beyond the Obvious, Explore the World

Farflung is a geography trivia game that rewards players for thinking beyond familiar countries. Each expedition presents five prompts about world geography, including borders, capitals, languages, and international connections. Your task is to identify a country that matches each clue and place a pin on the world map. However, finding a correct answer is only half the challenge. Like the Krillion game, less obvious answers earn more points, encouraging you to explore unusual possibilities instead of choosing the first answer that comes to mind. With daily challenges, unlimited expeditions, and two timing options, Farflung offers a fresh way to test and expand your geographical knowledge.

Gameplay Guide

To complete an expedition, you must find a country that matches each geography clue and submit your answer on the world map.

Read the Clue and Drop Your Pin

Each expedition has five geography prompts. For each one:

• Read the clue and find a matching country.
• Select a country on the map or search by name.
• Click DROP PIN to submit your answer.
• Earn distance based on how rare your correct answer is.

You have only one attempt per prompt, so choose carefully.

How Scoring Works

Farflung awards distance according to five fixed rarity tiers:

• Common: 40 km
• Uncommon: 55 km
• Rare: 70 km
• Elusive: 85 km
• Farflung: 100 km

Incorrect answers, skipped questions, and timeouts earn 0 km. Five Farflung-tier answers produce a perfect 500 km expedition. Rarity is determined by predefined editorial estimates, not live player statistics.
