Overview of Voxalike Game

Voxalike is a browser-based voice-dubbing party game where your microphone becomes the main way to play. Pick a Dub Pack, watch a scripted scene, then record your own voice over the characters' dialogue to create a new version of the clip. You can perform alone, team up with friends in Co-op, or turn voice acting into a competition through PvP multiplayer. Timing, pitch, energy, and line duration can all factor into performance feedback, while community-made Dub Mods keep adding new scenes to try. The goal is not simply to imitate the original voice perfectly, but to perform each line, complete the dub, and see what kind of funny or creative version you end up making.

Core Gameplay Mechanic

Voxalike turns short video scenes into interactive voice challenges. Instead of controlling a character with traditional movement buttons, you listen, perform, record, and build a finished dub one line at a time.

Pick a Dub Pack and Record Your Lines

Start by choosing a Dub Pack containing a scene and its dialogue. Watch or listen to the original line, then use your microphone to record your own performance within the available time. You can replay a take and try again before moving forward. In Solo play, performance feedback can consider factors such as timing, energy, pitch, and duration, giving you more to work toward than simply reading the words aloud.

Dub with Friends in Co-op or Compete in PvP

Multiplayer changes voice dubbing into a social party experience. Co-op supports up to 12 players, allowing different people to perform lines while working toward one completed dub. Line assignment can use Round Robin or Claim Mode depending on how the group wants to play. For competition, PvP supports up to eight players. Modes such as Parallel Race turn the same voice challenge into a contest involving performance accuracy and completion time.

Discover New Dubs and Share Your Performance

The Workshop expands Voxalike beyond its built-in content with community-created Dub Mods. You can discover new scenes and keep changing what you perform instead of repeating the same scripts. Once a session is complete, the individual recordings come together as a finished dub that you can replay. Voxalike also supports audio and video exports, including vertical video formats designed for sharing short performances.

Game Controls Guide

Voxalike relies mainly on its browser interface and microphone rather than traditional keyboard movement.

  • Mouse: Navigate menus and select on-screen options.
  • Microphone: Record dialogue and perform voice lines.
  • On-screen controls: Start, stop, replay, retry, and continue recordings.

Why Players Love Voxalike

Voxalike became viral because voice acting is entertaining. Playing with friends can turn familiar scenes into unpredictable group dubs as everyone brings a different voice, delivery, or improvised twist to their lines.

The mix of Solo, Co-op, and PvP also means dubbing does not have to be purely competitive. You can practice a scene yourself, collaborate on one chaotic group performance, or compete to see who handles the voice challenge better. Add community Dub Mods and shareable finished videos, and there is always another excuse to grab the microphone.

Grab your microphone, choose a scene, and play Voxalike to see whether your next dub becomes an impressive performance or something much funnier than planned.
